Mike Drucker Repeats Gamer Talking Points Angrily, Sarcastically
by Picadora Bransen
Emmy-nominated comedian and writer Mike Drucker has struck comedy gold once again in his newest skewering of the off-kilter politics of gamers: I'm Pretending To Be A Guy I Imagined Who Is Really Dumb. "I'm a gamer, I'm stupid and so goddmned crazy!" reads the opening volley in his latest barrage of comedy. Framed beneath a stock photo of an angry nerd that looks more like Mike Drucker than any of the people he's making fun of, this newest entry slots nicely into his growing body of anger and sarcasm which are basically the same thing as humor.

"Writing actual jokes is the hardest part of comedy." gamer comedy expert Mike Krahulik enthused, "Just taking a caricature of a person you hate and having them say dumb things that you're mad about is so much easier, and it gets just as much applause! Let me tell you, back in the day there were so many times when Jerry would just tell me 'draw Jack Thompson and I'll come up with a dumb thing for him to say later' and the gamers never got sick of it."
"I'm so mad at video games." observes another expertly-crafted comedic passage from the article, "I get mad at video games and then I go on the internet and I complain about how mad they make me. Often I blame women and minorities, sometimes with flimsy evidence but usually none at all."
"You can tell he's written for hundreds of episodes of The Tonight Show with how his Jimmy Fallon-esque charisma radiates off of the page." praised game humor archivist Nestor Chan, "And you can't pull off this degree of political satire without years of experience writing for Samantha Bee."
